A few weeks ago at church we had a cookie sale for the children in Haiti. But this one was different. Me and Paula didnt come up with idea-it actually never even crossed our minds. It wasnt a Pastor, an adult or even a High Schooler. No- it was a second grader. After Gwendolyn found out about the earthquake in Haiti she told her parents she wanted to do somthing to help all the children. More speicifally she wanted to sell cookies and call it "Help for Haiti". How could you not make this happen? She met with us and we came up with the date and got all her ideas for what she wanted it to be.
That sunday I got up and made an
guilt trip announcement in front of the church- asking them to not only support the children in Haiti, but also our kids as well. We are here to make disciples of Jesus Christ and what better way then by encouraging them to be missionaries in their own church?
